KAOS Outdoor High-Wind Motorized Shades
Our notes
Screen Innovations sells KAOS only through dealers, so no price is posted and a quote is needed. It is motorized with SI or Somfy motors, though the page does not say how they are powered. Widths reach 288 in., making it one of only 4 shades in our list at 288 in. or wider. The seller calls it "designed for high-wind conditions and high-traffic environments" and says "Hurricane approved fabric options are available, along with high-wind fabrics." Those are the maker's claims; we have not tested them.

Wind
"designed for high-wind conditions and high-traffic environments"; "Hurricane approved fabric options are available, along with high-wind fabrics."
Copied exactly from the seller's page, read 2026-11-01. Sellers don't test wind the same way, so this can't be compared with another seller's figure. More on wind wording.
How it mounts depends on your wall, fascia or beam. Confirm it with the maker or a licensed installer.
